Business in London, in numbers.
London has 552,505 VAT- or PAYE-registered businesses, and 98 per cent of them are micro or small (ONS, 2026). Professional, scientific and technical firms lead the count at more than 110,000, followed by construction, then information and communication.
When hiring is hard and costs keep rising, the answer is more output per person.
The London Chamber of Commerce and Industry's third-quarter survey, carried out by YouGov in August 2026, found that half of firms faced higher energy costs and 29 per cent saw domestic sales fall. The Mayor of London announced a £12 million AI support package for the city's small businesses in June 2026, to be delivered by London & Partners. Our work is the practical side of that: assistants and automation that add capacity without adding headcount, and search and AI visibility work that brings in enquiries, not traffic for its own sake.

Do you work with businesses in London?
Yes. We work with London businesses in UK hours, with video calls, a shared project board and a demo every week. You can ring us on 07723 431000 on any working day, and a senior engineer joins every call, from the first conversation to launch.
How do you compare with a London agency?
You get senior engineers on the work itself, not just at the pitch. You also get a demo every week, and code, domains and accounts in your name. Every project has a fixed, itemised quote in pounds after discovery, so you can compare like for like with any London agency.
Can you help us add capacity without hiring?
Yes. That is most of what our AI automation work is for. We find the repetitive tasks that eat up your team's week, automate them with a person still signing off the decisions, and measure the hours saved. The audit comes first, so you see the numbers before you commit.
Is the Mayor's AI support package open yet?
It was announced in June 2026, with London & Partners delivering it. Check the London & Partners and Grow London Local websites for when and how to apply. Whatever you learn there, we can build the specific workflow you decide to automate.
